Crib of the Ecumene

This is a Concept Design exploration project within boundaries of the established visual language of Destiny.
How would Destiny's version of the Forerunners live like, if their Flood is The Ecumene's Hive? Where does the Worm God imagery come from? Why must the Hive devour everything? (This has now been answered in Witch Queen, but the question has always been interesting)

This Fan Art is meant to show that universe with creatures, weapons, and armors not found in the game or published media.
Reviewing the scope of this project, realizing the amount of smaller projects this can contain, and constantly being in awe by what the official team is making pushed me to publish the current state of the area with the pieces worked on so far, wherever this may go.

Landing Zone
The resisting nature borders The Ecumene's First City, where the living bridge that eons later was revered by the offspring in their own way as worm gods connects areas swarmed by both Light and Darkness to the city were neither have entered.

Incubating Grounds
Beyond The First City, non-violent beings known as Egregators reap the roots' milk for a timeless tribute to the main players of paracausal schemes.

Unveiled Egregator Proxy Sculpt, Real-Time Procedural Shader Tests
These were developed with a combination of minerals and volumetric fractals in mind, for which current equipment was insufficient.

Egregoros Roots
Beneath the resisting nature there are connecting tunnels of shrines to paracausal energies where roots are fed to power a banner-ignoring civilization and ecosystem. Shrines that revere players not in existence when built.
